Sync Error and Troubleshooting
To prioritize issues that you encounter in Salesforce or mobile devices, identify and understand the severity of these issues.
When an endpoint is called and an error is encountered, the request response that contains the error is sent to mobile devices. Based on the log level of the device, the logs that have higher or same severity are sent back to Salesforce. These messages appear in the Device Events Log page.
| Log Message | Description |
|---|---|
| Sync Log Messages | Log messages for download errors, upload errors, or sync failures. Since all Sync Log Messages are prefixed with the CGCloud namespace, you can use the Namespace filter in the Device Events Log page to search a Sync Log message. |
| Framework Log Messages | Messages that are logged from mobile devices. These log messages are displayed in the Device Events Log page. Framework Log Messages are prefixed with FW in the Event Code column of the Device Events Log page and have the CAS namespace. You can use the Namespace filter in the Device Events Log page to search a Framework Log message. |
| Mobile Log Messages | Messages encountered in mobile devices. To get additional information on these log messages, activate the Trace Mode for the mobile devices and request the information from the Device Details Edit page. Logs are shown based on the area selected for which the Trace Mode is activated. You can download the mobile log messages from the Request History section of the Device Details Edit Page using the Download Log option. |
You can delete any of the log messages from the Device Events Log page. You can use a filter to select specific messages and then delete the displayed messages. At a time, you can delete a maximum of 10,000 messages.
In addition to the log messages, from the Device Events Edit page, you can view the records that failed during a sync process.
