          Configure Sync Settings

          Configure Sync Settings

Use the Sync Config page to configure sync settings and mobile options and to set limits for configurations.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Agentforce 1, Einstein 1, Enterprise, and Unlimited editions with Consumer Goods Cloud Retail Execution and Agentforce for Consumer Goods Cloud add-on licenses.

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Sync Management.
          2. Click the Sync Configurator tab.
          3. Click Sync Config.
To change the sync setup of a configuration, go to the Configuration level.
          4. To specify the number of minutes after which automatic sync is initiated, enter a value from 10 through 9999 for background sync interval.
          5. Select an option for background sync type:
            • Complete Sync: Syncs the records of the tracked object.
            • Upload Only: Specifies that data is only uploaded.
            • Deactivated: Sets auto-background sync to not initiate. Field reps can manually trigger the sync by tapping the Sync icon in the mobile app.
          6. If you want to automatically restart syncs that fail because of network issues, select Sync on Resume.
          7. In App Startup Sync Frequency, select an option on how frequently the offline mobile app should sync data when the app is opened.
            • Always- Syncs data each time the offline mobile app starts. Default option.
            • Time threshold- Syncs data at a specific duration from the last successful data sync.
            • No sync- the schema updates and the RTAs execute, but the background sync doesn’t happen.
This field only appears when you turn on Configure App Startup Sync Frequency in Sync Settings. This setting is turned off in new and upgraded installations. When turned off, the Sync on Startup setting appears instead of this field.
After you upgrade, the default value for this field is determined by the Sync on Startup setting in Winter '25 and earlier. If Sync on Startup was on, this field is set to Always. If Sync on Startup was disabled, this field is set to No sync.
          8. If you chose the Time threshold option, then, in App Startup Sync Time Threshold, specify the duration after which the data sync is performed when the CG Cloud mobile app starts. Enter a time interval from 10 through 1440 minutes. The default time interval for new installations is 30 minutes.
          9. Enter the maximum number of error events that a mobile device can send in an event period when the Log Level field is set to Error.
You can set the Log Level field from a mobile device in the Debug mode.
          10. Enter the maximum number of other events that a mobile device can send in an event period when the Log Level field is set to Debug, Info, or Log.
You can set the Log Level field from a mobile device in the Debug mode.
          11. Enter maximum error events and maximum other events periods in hours.
These counters are reset after the period elapses.
          12. Enter a value between 2 to 600 to specify the maximum number of users who can synchronize to Salesforce simultaneously. Recommended value is 200.
If the Queue sync users at maximum limit setting is enabled in Sync Settings, then, when the number of users trying to sync concurrently exceeds the specified limit, the sync engine adds those sync requests to a queue. The users receive a notification on their device about the queue position of their sync request.

This setting is applicable for top-level configurations only. The value set for the top level configuration will apply for all users.

          13. Save your changes.
