          Set up Digital Experiences

          Create a Self-Service Portal from an Experience Cloud template. Set up the newly created site and publish it. Then set a contact as a customer to log in to the Experience Cloud.

          With Energy and Utilities Cloud, you can use an Experience Cloud template to create a Self-Service Portal.

          Create an Experience Cloud Site

          Create the Self-Service Portal as an Experience Cloud site from a template to give your customers access to their account and self-service capabilities.

          To create an experience cloud site: Energy & Utilities Objects for Experience Cloud Users

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Digital Experience, and then select Digital Experiences.
          2. Select Enable Digital Experiences, then save your changes.
          3. In the All Sites page, click New.
          4. Click EU Self Service Portal.
          5. Click Get Started.
          6. Enter a name, and if necessary, enter a custom URL for your Self-Service Portal, then click Create.
          7. Activate the experience cloud site you created.
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter All Sites, and then select All Sites.
            2. Click Builder next to the site your want to activate.
            3. Click Workspaces, then select Administration.
            4. In Settings, click Activate, and then click OK.
            5. To provide access to a user profile, in Members, under Select Profiles, find the profile that you want to provide access to in the Available Profiles column, and then add it to the Selected Profiles column.
              For example, add Energy Utilities Customer User to the Selected Profiles section.
          8. Publish the experience cloud site.
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter All Sites, and then select All Sites.
            2. Click Builder for the Self-Service Portal.
            3. Click Publish , and then click Confirm.

          You can find the new Experience Cloud site in the All Sites list under Digital Experiences. You receive an email when the site is published.

          Sharing Set for Digital Experiences

          Review the recommended sharing set for Digital Experience users. A sharing set grants portal users access to any record associated with an account or contact that matches the user's account or contact. You can grant access to records via access mapping, which defines access for each object in the sharing set.

          Set a Contact as a Customer

          All customer contacts must have the right permission sets to access the Self-Service Portal. Set a contact as a customer and assign permission sets to the profile so that you can log in as the sample contact.

          To log in as another contact: Energy & Utilities Objects for Experience Cloud Users
          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Contacts.
          2. In the contact that you want to modify, click Actions.
          3. Click Enable Customer User.
          4. Create a new customer with the Customer Community license, and assign the Experience Cloud profile.
            For example, assign the Energy Utilities Customer User
          5. In the user page, in Permission Set Assignments, click Edit Assignments.
          6. Move these required permission sets from the Available Permission Sets column to the Enabled Permission sets column.

          7. Save your changes.
          8. In the page of the sample contact, click Actions, then click Log in to Experience as User.
