System admin must integrate DocuSign with Salesforce Contracts for users to be able to email a copy of the document to sign at the recipient's convenience.

  System admin must integrate DocuSign with Salesforce Contracts for users to be able to email a copy of the document to sign at the recipient’s convenience. DocuSign integration requires an active DocuSign account.
• Workflow to Setup E-Signature for Standard and Custom Objects
  You can send documents generated from objects such as a quote, order, opportunity, or any standard or custom objects for e-signature using e-signature APIs. You can send one or more documents at a time. System admin must integrate DocuSign with Salesforce Contracts for users to be able to email a copy of the document to sign at the recipient’s convenience. DocuSign integration requires an active DocuSign account.

  Salesforce Contracts provides an Apex class called EnvelopeStatusScheduler that you can schedule to poll DocuSign for statuses of envelopes submitted as part of the e-signature process.
