Export Document Templates from a Salesforce Org
To export document templates from the source organization, ensure that the Document Templates Export setting is turned on. After enabling the setting, you can include the templates in a managed package for export. To export templates that were created before enabling the Document Templates Export setting, you must first turn on the setting, and then modify and save those preexisting templates.

| To export and import templates: | DocGen Designer permission set |
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Omni Interaction, and then select Omnistudio Settings.
- Turn on Omnistudio Metadata.
- In the Quick Find box, enter Packaging, and then select Package Manager.
- Click New.
- Enter the package name.
- Save your changes.
- On the Components tab, click Add.
- Select Document Template Config as the component type.
- Select the document template named {documentTemplateName}_{versionNumber}.
- Click Add to Package.
- On the Components tab, click Add.
- Select Omni Data Transform Config as the component type.
- Select the Omnistudio Data Mapper named {DRName}_{versionNumber} associated with your templates.
- Click Add to Package.
- In the Package Detail section, click Upload.
- Enter a version name.
- Click Upload.
- Copy the installation URL to use it to install the managed package in the target org.
