          Section Management

          Section Management

Section management is a crucial aspect of contract document designing, generation, negotiation, and execution. It effectively organizes and controls the content, leading to improved clarity, enforceability, and efficiency of the contract process.

Template designers and contract authors can organize and structure their content into distinct and coherent sections or blocks within a document template or a contract document. Sections are discrete parts or divisions within a document that serve to group related information together, making it easier for users to navigate to and understand the content. Define specific formatting and properties for various parts of the document. Add specific clauses, terms, and conditions.

          • Create Section in Contract Document
Contract authors can define sections within a document to structure and organize the content more effectively.
          • Modify Section
Template designers and contract authors can modify the sections within document templates and contract documents.
          • Lock Sections Within a Document
Template designers and contract authors can lock sections when they design the template and author the contract, respectively. Use the section lock feature to prevent unintended users from editing and deleting sections and their associated content, such as marked clauses and standard clauses. When an external or internal review is in progress, you can’t lock sections within that document.
          • Unlock Sections in a Document
Template designers and contract authors can unlock locked sections when they create templates and author contracts, respectively. However, if a template designer locks a section, contract authors, internal reviewers, and external reviewers can't unlock, edit, or delete that section. You can't unlock sections during internal or external reviews.
          • Actions Available for a Section
The permissible actions for a section depend on whether the section is locked or not. Contract authors, internal reviewers, and external reviewers can’t edit or delete sections that template designers lock.
          • Configure Permissions for Section Access Control
The admin sets up and assigns the required permissions for template designers and contract authors to use section access control during internal reviews.
