DocGenPlus Add-On Licenses for Salesforce Document Generation
The DocGenPlus add-on license supports usage-based document generation for standalone Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Field Services offerings. The usage-based licensing applies to customers who purchased Revenue Events Starter Pack SKU starting in Winter ‘26. For every document generation request, one Revenue Event is consumed.

| Cloud Scope | DocGen functionality through the Revenue Events Starter Pack SKU is supported for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Field Services. For these customers, the recommended method for document generation is Context Services, which doesn’t require any additional licenses. Metering for DocGen Usage
DocGen usage is metered or unmetered based on the SKU and entitlement configuration in your org. Metering means that document generation activity consumes Revenue Events, while unmetered scenarios don’t consume Revenue Events.
Metered and Unmetered Conditions
Metering depends on the org’s SKU and entitlement combination. DocGen usage is metered only when the org is provisioned with the Revenue Events Starter Pack without any Revenue Cloud or Industry Cloud SKUs or Salesforce Contracts SKU. In all other scenarios listed, DocGen usage isn’t metered.

Impact on Existing Customers
- Customers with Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA), Revenue Cloud Billing (RCB), or Revenue Cloud Growth (RCG): Document generation under these SKUs is provided at $0 and isn’t metered.
- Customers with both DocGenDesigner add-on (Unmetered) and new DocGenPlus add-on (Metered): If you have a SKU that has DocGen Designer add-on, for example as part of Industry Cloud SKUs, and later purchase the Revenue Starter Pack SKU (DocGenPlus add-on) as part of the Revenue Events Starter SKU, document generation isn't metered or charged.
- Customers with Salesforce Contracts or Industry Cloud SKUs who later add SKU that contains DocGenPlus add-on, document generation isn’t metered or charged.
