Create a Decision Table to Determine Order Discount Percentage (Example)
After you create the custom object that contains the business rules, you can create the decision table. In this example, you use a decision table to determine order discount percentages.

Note Decision tables are also available as part of Business Rules
Engine. If your org has Business Rules Engine enabled, see Decision Tables for Business Rules Engine.
The decision table determines product discount percentages based on the rules defined in the Product Discount Rules custom object. The decision table populates the discount percentage for products in the Product standard object’s Discount field.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Decision Tables, and then select Decision Tables.
- Click New.

Provide these details, and then click Next.
Field Value Name Decide Discount Percentage for Orders API Name Decide_Discount_Percentage_for_Orders Source Object Order Discount Rule

Select the input fields, the output field, and then click
Next.
Field Name Use Operator Discount Output - Maximum Quantity Input Less or Equal Minimum Quantity Input Greater or Equal Product Name Input Equals
- Click Next.

Specify these details.

- Save your work.
