          Create a Query Validation

          Create a Query Validation

To perform user input validations and route the appropriate error messages to the specified component if the configured business rule is violated, create query validation.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions where Consumer Goods Cloud is enabled

          User Permissions Needed
To create a query validation: CGCloud Business Admin
          1. In Setup, find and select Custom Metadata Types.
          2. For Query Validations, click Manage Records.
          3. Click New.
          4. Add a label.
          5. Select a query definition.
          6. To run the validation in a sequence, enter a unique number as order.
This field ensures the order to execute validations. When the system detects an error, the execution stops, and an error message appears.
          7. To define a source, select the data type for the output of the source query, select a query UI, and then select a condition.
          8. To define a target, select the data type for the output of the target query and select a query UI.
          9. To enter a source error message, select Is Source Custom Label, and enter a source error message.
          10. To enter a target error message, select Is Target Custom Label, and enter a target error message.
          11. Save your changes.
