Discontinued Products in Account Plans and Customer Business Plans (CBPs)
Even if a product is no longer actively sold, it can still generate sales through
leftover inventory. Improve the accuracy of customer business plans (CBPs) and account plans by
including actuals data from discontinued products. You can control how far back discontinued
products are considered in the CBP or account plan
Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions where Consumer Goods
Cloud is enabled
If a product is discontinued, make sure that the product is still in the product assortment
and that its end date has elapsed. Note that if you choose to include discontinued products,
they’re treated like any other product in the customer business plan (CBP) and the account
plan. They're included in related manual input and batch calculations. They're also included
in real-time reports and key performance indicator (KPI) exports.
Note Products must be part of a product assortment to be considered as discontinued.
Otherwise, they don’t appear in the CBP or account plan, and they aren’t used in any of their
calculations.
Example You recently discontinued a popular soda flavor, Citrus Blast. Although the product is
no longer available for sale and it has passed its end date in the product assortment, it can
still generate sales through leftover inventory. If you turn on discontinued products, Citrus
Blast continues to appear in the CBP and account plan and you can track all of its actuals
data such as volume, revenue, and spend.
