KPI Maps
To synchronize promotions, tactics, tactic fund information, calculated fund values, and rate-based funding values between Salesforce and CG Cloud Processing Service (CGPS), create KPI maps. KPI maps are links between the object fields in Salesforce and the KPIs stored in CGPS and are essential to calculate the values of the fields that you define in your records. For example, configure a KPI map to fill the Total Volume field in a promotion with the Total Volume KPI value whenever the promotion is saved.
TPM shows, calculates, and stores measures in CGPS. KPI information isn’t directly available in Salesforce objects. To use the standard Salesforce platform capabilities, such as Lightning reports and dashboards, Audit Trail (Field Tracking), and workflows, some KPIs are stored redundantly on Salesforce after a successful calculation and writeback in the CGPS.
You can configure KPI maps for these objects:
- Promotion
- Tactic
- Tactic Fund
- Fund
- Rate-Based Funding
Promotion KPIs aren’t available on Salesforce objects at the product level or period level. Lightning reports and dashboards report only on Promotion and Tactic Total Level KPIs. For more granular reporting, use real-time reporting.
- Create KPI Maps
Use KPI maps to link a field in Salesforce with the KPIs stored in CG Cloud Processing Service. Store a KPI value in a promotion or a tactic object field by defining the mapping between the KPI definition and the field. - Create a Field to Store a KPI Value
Store a KPI value in a promotion or a tactic object field. To store a KPI value in a new field, create a field for the relevant object, such as Advanced Promotion, Tactic, or Rate-Based Funding. After you create a field, map a KPI definition to the new field. - Translate KPI Labels in Promotion and Tactic Objects
Change the labels for the KPIs that are used for the ROI and Spend charts in the Promotions and Tactics objects.
