          Manage Users

          Manage Users

To control a user’s access based on their roles and responsibilities, assign them the appropriate license, permission set license, and permission sets. And to restrict the accounts and products that a user can manage, create user settings.

          • User Personas
Consider the functions of the users in your Salesforce org and the permissions they need. Plan your hierarchy, identify your initial groups of users, and then set them up in your org.
          • Trade Promotion Management Permission Set Licenses
Permission set licenses enable users to access features that aren’t included in the users’ licenses. You can assign any number of permission set licenses to users.
          • User Profiles
Profiles define how users access objects and data and determine the actions that the users can perform while using the app. Create and map specific user profiles during app installation.
          • Permission Sets
Use permissions sets to give users access to specific features and functions without altering the existing profiles of the users.
          • Add Users to a Sales Organization
To give a user access to the data in a sales organization, add the user to the sales organization. Typically, Key Account Manager (KAM) users are assigned to one sales organization and business admins are assigned to multiple sales organizations. But, you can assign a KAM to multiple sales organizations, if needed.
          • Create User Settings
Manage the edit and access rights for individual users based on the accounts and products that they’re responsible for. One user can manage one or multiple accounts and one or multiple products. For example, User A manages Account 1 and the product category, Snacks. User B manages Account 1 and the product category, Beverages. At the same time, User A can manage Account 2 and product category Beverages, and User B can manage Account 2 and product category Snacks. To control this level of access, create a user setting and define the customer and category combination for every user.
