          Main Objects of Tactics

          Use the Tactics objects to run promotions. Tactics are the tasks in a promotion, such as displays, advertisements, consumer price reductions, and allowances.

          Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions where Consumer Goods Cloud is enabled

          A KAM can anchor a tactic to a promotion or child promotion. A tactic can be linked to one or more funds that pay for the tactic. A KAM can also include or exclude tactics in a promotion. Based on the included tactics, the system recalculates all KPI values for the promotion in the promotion summary sheet or Account Plan P&L.

          Objects under Tactics

          This table lists the main objects in Tactics.

          Object API Name Description
          Claims cgcloud__Payment__c

          Specifies the remuneration due to customers for running promotion tactics. The possible claim types are:

          • Deduction
          • Credit Memo
          • Check Request
          • Invoice-Based

          The claim type is set using the claim template that’s used to create claims.

          Funds cgcloud__Fund__c

          Stores the details about the amount allocated for promotional activities. A fund can be created for: 

          • A customer
          • A customer-category combination
          • A customer-brand combination

          By using these fund types, finance managers can create a variety of funds, each serving a distinct purpose in running promotions. A finance manager can also create funds with various customer- and product-anchor combinations.

          Promotion cgcloud__Promotion__c Stores information on agreements between the manufacturer and the customer to increase the revenue and market share of products by using promotions. For example, Temporary Price Reductions (TPR), coupons, or in-store displays.
          Sales Org cgcloud__Sales_Organization__c

          Business segments to structure your data and business processes by your organizational unit. For example, one sales org for the EMEA region and another sales org for the APAC region.

          Base business segmentation on geographical territories, product division, or account team.

          Each business template is related to a sales org. Records created using the templates are available only for the related sales org.

          Tactic cgcloud__Tactic__c

          Stores information on promotional tasks carried out by retailers to increase sales. Tactics incur cost to manufacturers. For example, advertisement tactic or display tactic.

          Tactic types include:

          Display: Products placed in stores for higher consumer attention. Display tactic type can include references to jobs for field sales representatives.

          Price Reduction: Percentage rebate or an absolute rebate within the tactic time frame.

          Tactic Templates cgcloud__Tactic_Template__c Template to create a tactic. The tactics are anchored to promotions or funds by adding the tactic template to the related list of the promotion template or fund template.
          Tactic Product Condition cgcloud__Tactic_Product_Condition__c Conditions generated out of tactics at each product level based on a set configuration. These conditions are used in the promotion and the account plan.
