          Header Bar (1)

You can perform these functions in the header bar:

          • Refresh the Trade Calendar view after you update events or promotions. If you group by either Group Text or Slogan, and then create a promotion from the Trade Calendar view, the system highlights the Gantt bars of the new promotions. To change the highlighted bars to their respective colors and place them within the relevant group according to the filter criteria, click Refresh.

          • Print or save the current Trade Calendar view. For example, you can either save the calendar as a PDF document or print the current view.

            Note
Note When no promotions exist in the view or changes in the view aren’t saved or applied, the system disables this button.
          • To open or close the Define Your View panel, use the filter button. The panel shows the Trade Calendar view filters.

          • To initiate the mass copy process, click Copy Promotions.

          • To create a promotion from the calendar, click New.

          Calendar Bar (2)

The calendar bar shows the months corresponding to the period that you selected in the Date From and Date Thru filters.

The calendar weeks of the year appear under the months. The First Week of the Year and First Day of the Week settings of the sales org determine the month's starting calendar week and day.

If you activate a custom calendar for your sales org, the custom period number and year for the corresponding months appear under each month. The month's starting calendar period and day are determined based on the defined custom periods.

The width of the custom period column varies in proportion to the number of days in a custom period. If the column that represents the period with the least number of days isn't wide enough to accommodate the period number label, the calendar bar doesn’t show a number.

To go backward and forward through the periods of the same duration, use the arrows that appear next to the first and last months.

          Side Bar (3)

The contents of the side bar depend on how you group filtered promotions in the Trade Calendar view. The options are:

          • Slogan
          • Group Text
          • Customer
          • Product
          Note
Note The system always shows events (promotions without an anchor) at the top. The system shows the events that you create by using the promotion templates selected in the Trade Calendar view.

          Today Line (4)

This vertical line separates the period until the current day from the rest of the business year. The area to the left of the line is shaded.

          Gantt Chart (5)

The Gantt chart shows all the relevant promotions that match the filters selected in the Trade Calendar view. It also shows the events that overlap with the specified time range.

          Note
Note If you select Promotion Type filters in the view, an event appears only if you select the corresponding promotion template in the Trade Calendar view.

The system represents each promotion as a Gantt bar. The promotion dates determine the length and position of the bar in the calendar. The dates can either be Promotion, Shipment, or In-store.

The Promotion Colors filter determines the color that you used to depict the promotions in the Trade Calendar view. You can show Gantt bars with a certain level of transparency:

          • The new promotion appears highlighted with a squared pattern until you refresh the screen.
          • If you select Promotion Type in the Promotion Colors filter, the promotions in Planning and Modeling phases appear as transparent bars to distinguish them from promotions in other phases.
          • If you select Phase in the Promotion Colors filter, the promotions appear as transparent bars based on the value specified in the transparency field of the color schema.

The system shows the promotions together based on the Group By rule.

When promotions overlap, borders appear between promotion bars to identify the time frame of the promotions.

When you group the Trade Calendar view by Group Text or Slogan, the system highlights any recent actions that you performed on promotions until you refresh the view. For example, to indicate the changes, the system highlights and places the Gantt bars of new promotions and the edited, copied, or derived promotions with the group. However, if either the group text or slogan isn’t present, then the system places the edited promotion bars at the top.

You can either hover over each bar to view the promotion details in the launchpad or click the bar to open the promotion.

          Legend (6)

The legend shows the color and the corresponding promotion type, promotion phase, or promotion-specific attribute. You can customize legend colors.

The legend appears in alphabetical order in the configured language. If the legend extends beyond a page, a horizontal scroll bar appears.

          Launchpad

The launchpad appears whenever you hover over a promotion bar.

          Note
Note The launchpad doesn’t appear if you hover over the bar’s gray sections in the customer or product grouping. The gray sections represent grouped promotions with overlapping timeframes.

The system shows these details in the launchpad:

          • Customer
          • Promotion template
          • Slogan
          • Status
          • Start and end dates of the promotion
          • KPIs of the promotion: Profit, Sales, Costs, and ROI. The system fetches the values of the KPIs from the Processing Services database. The system prefixes KPI values with colored indicators, and determines the indicator colors as shown here.
KPI NameIndicator ColorKPI Value RangeMeasure Code (Writeback Code)

             Yellow100000–249999
             Green>=250000
            Note
Note For each KPI, the measure code is mandatory and fixed. The system doesn't accept any other measure code for a KPI because the logic is predefined. However, you can customize the KPIs and the color codes.

In addition, the system shows the Open in new Tab, Edit, Copy, Derive, and Delete buttons.

If you own the promotion or have edit access to the promotion record, when you click Edit, the promotion opens on the same browser tab in Edit mode. Otherwise, the promotion opens in Read Only mode and the system doesn't show the Edit button.

The system shows the Derive button only for derivable promotions that are in the Committed phase.
