          Configure a Real-Time Report

          To configure a report, first design KPIs for reporting. Then, create report dimensions to define the attributes of relevant objects that can be shown in a report. To show attributes in a report, from the list of attributes defined in a report dimension, add the relevant attributes in the report’s metadata. Also, in the report metadata of a report add relevant KPIs, time granularity, and details about how data is filtered, aggregated, and shown in the report. Finally, create a Lightning Component App page, and then add the relevant Lightning Web components to the page. You can also embed a report in a promotion record page.

          • Design KPIs
            With appropriate KPI design, you can view real-time updates in real-time report without any KPI mappings or interfaces involved.
          • Configure Report Dimension
            For every sales org, you can define only one instance of a specific report dimension. For example, a sales organization can have only one product report dimension.
          • Create a Report Metadata
            Report metadata is a configuration JSON that controls the behavior of the report. Configure report metadata to define how data is filtered, aggregated, and shown in a report. The components of a report metadata JSON are datasources, attributes, filters, and UIMapping.
          • Create a Lightning App Page
            To view a real-time report, create a Lightning App page.
          • Embed Reports on Promotion Record Page
            To see the impact of a promotion on an account plan, embed an account plan real-time report on the Promotion page. The report appears at the top of a promotion record and the KPIs can be filtered—for example, by the promotion record's account and year.
