To manage the hierarchical relationships between different product and product group
nodes, assign parents to the product and product group nodes. Generally, the product hierarchy
information is fetched from an ERP system to the product hierarchy object, but you can also
manually define the parent for products and product groups. When you assign a parent, specify
the time period for which the relationship is valid.

To add a parent to a product:
CGCloud Business Admin
From the App Launcher, find and select Product, and then select a
product.
In the Parent Product related list, click New.
Select a parent product based on the hierarchical information specified in the product’s
Criterion Information section.
For example, in Product D’s Criterion section, Product A has the Category level, Product B
is Sub Category, and Product C is Brand, make Product B the parent for Product C, Product A the
parent for Product B, and Product C the parent for Product D.
Enter the dates of the association’s validity period within the time frame of the promotion
and account plan.
Only the products that have a valid parent role on the promotion’s commit date or current
date are shown in the hierarchy.
For structure type, select Sales.
