Create a Customer
When you create a customer by using a customer template, they inherit the metadata of the sales organization associated that’s with the template.

- From the App Launcher, find and select Accounts.
- Click New.
- Enter a name and customer number for the customer.
- Select a customer template.
- To make this customer a part of a hierarchy, select a parent customer.
- Select the operating hours for the customer.
- Enter the shipping and communication addresses.
- Save your changes.

Allow a user to plan promotions for the customer.
- In the Customer Manager related list, click New.
- Select a user.
- Select the management type.
- Select the dates that define the validity period of the association.
- Select Active.
- To make the user the main manager of the customer, select Main.
- Save your changes.

Define the relationship of the customer with another customer. For example, if the other
customer is the wholesaler for this customer, define the relationship in this step.
- In the Customer Relationship related list, click New.
- Select a related customer.
- Select the relationship type.

To make this relation the primary relationship, select Primary
Relationship.
Within a specific period, only one relationship can be marked as the primary relationship.
- Select the dates that define the validity period of the relationship.
- Save your changes.

Define the relationship of another customer with this customer. For example, if this
customer is the wholesaler for another customer, define the relationship in this step.
- In the Related Customer’s Relationship related list, click New.
- Select a customer.
- Select the relationship type.

To make this relation the primary relationship, select Primary
Relationship.

- Save your changes.

Define the roles for the customer.
- In the Customer Extensions related list, click New.
- Select a state of the extension.
- Select the priority level of the customer.
- Select the company type and the trade type.
- Select the customer level that determines its placement in the hierarchy.
- Select a pricing type.
- Enter the start and end dates for the roles that you want to assign to the customer.
- Select a weekday share profile.
- In the Budget Management Details section, enter the overdraw allowance percentage for fixed and rate-based funds.
- Save your changes.
