          Create a Promotion

Use an active promotion template to create a promotion. Based on the tactics you assign to a promotion, the system assigns the promoted products and other details, such as product description, product quantity, and promoted price, related to the tactic to the promotion. You can also create a promotion from the Trade Calendar view.

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Advanced Promotions.
          2. On the Advanced Promotions page, click New TPM Promotion.
          3. Select a promotion template.
Promotion templates appear according to their sort value in ascending order. Templates with an empty sort value appear first on the list. If two or more templates have the same or empty sort value, the system sorts the templates alphabetically based on the Description field.
          4. If the timeframe determination policy is selected as Manual in the promotion template, select the start and end dates for the promotion.
          5. If the anchor type is selected as Customer in the promotion template, select a customer.
          6. Enter a slogan.
          7. Select a KPI and its value.
You can add multiple KPIs for a promotion.
          8. Select a tactic template and its compensation model.
You can add multiple tactics for a promotion.
          9. Save your changes.
On the promotion page, click a tactic card to see the details of the tactic.
            Note
Note If you defined a field dependency for the Claim Methods field for the Tactics object, then the other tactic fields are populated based on the defined dependency. For example, if the Payment Terms field is dependent on the Claim Methods field, then based on the selected claim method, the first picklist value for payment terms appears by default.
