Configure a Custom Junction Object Traversal

Configure a Custom Junction Object Traversal

To configure a Custom Junction traversal, you must specify the Relationship Object, a name, and all the required field mappings.

          1. Click the traversal line, then click Add Traversal.

The traversal configuration appears in the Edit Configuration pane.

          2. Make sure that Select Traversal Type is set to Many to Many.
          3. In the Relationship Object field, type part of the object type name and select it from the list.
          4. In the Traversal Name field, enter the name of a new Relationship Graph Traversal.

As a best practice, give it a name that references the Graph Name and the relationship, for example, Doctors and Patients - Medical Group Of.

          5. In the Source Object Field field, type part of the field name and select it from the list.

This is the field in the relationship object that references the Id of the source object.

          6. In the Target Object Field field, type part of the field name and select it from the list.

This is the field in the relationship object that references the Id of the target object.

          7. In the Strength Field field, type part of the field name and select it from the list.
          8. Enter a Source Label, such as Medical Group Of.
          9. Enter a Target Label, such as Works for Medical Group.
          10. Enter a Default Strength value.
          11. Map relationship fields to traversal fields. This is optional for the fields not listed in these steps.

For details about these fields, see Relationship Graph Traversal Object Fields and Mappings.

          12. Select and order the object fields to include in the graph:
            • Use the right arrow icon to move object fields from the Available list to the Selected list.

            • Use the up and down arrow icons to reorder the object fields in the Selected list.

          13. Click Create.
