Set Up Generic Documents For DocuSign eSignature for Custom Objects

You can send documents generated from custom objects for eSignature through DocuSign.

Note

This feature is available in Fall '20 and later releases for ​Salesforce Industries Communications, Media, and Energy and HINS users.

Important

CLM supports sending large documents for eSignature with a file size of 7MB or less.

You must complete the following additional setup tasks.

1. Complete the setup tasks in Set Up Generic Documents For DocuSign eSignature.
2. Add a lookup field for the custom object to the Generic DocuSign Envelope object.
3. Add a custom setting to the DocuSign Envelope Object Setting.
4. Set up a generic recipient translator.
5. Set up a document selector.
6. Set up a recipient selector.

• Add a Lookup Field for the Generic DocuSign Envelope Object
  Complete this procedure to add a lookup field for your custom object to reference the Generic DocuSign Envelope object.
• Add a Custom Setting to the DocuSign Envelope Object Setting
  Complete this procedure to add setting for your custom object to reference the Generic DocuSign Envelope object.
• Set Up a Generic Recipient Translator
  Complete this procedure to translate a recipient’s email notification to a specific language using a provided locale code.
• Set Up a Document Selector
  Complete this procedure to return a list of documents to be attached to an envelope to be sent to DocuSign for eSignature for a custom object.
• Set Up a Recipient Selector
  Complete this procedure to create a list of recipients that will receive the DocuSign envelope for signing or viewing for a custom Generic DocuSign APIGeneric DocuSign APIobject.
