Activating a Contract Document Template
You must save a contract document template before you can activate it. When you use a document template in a contract, you cannot deactivate the template. You must create a new document template version.
To activate a contract document template:
- Go to the Vlocity Document Template tab.
- Click the template to update.
- Edit the template.
- Click Activate.
After you activate a template, it's read-only. You cannot make any changes to it. You cannot replace the file or change template settings. After you activate a Vlocity Document Template that is based on a Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint file, you cannot delete the Microsoft Word file associated with it. To replace the file, you have to deactivate the template.
The ability to create document templates based on Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint documents is available only in Salesforce Industries Communications, Media, and Energy Winter '18, Minor release, Version 101.2.900.151 and later.
