          Create a Goal

Use goals to track your campaign KPIs and improve the outcome.

          REQUIRED USER ROLE
To create and manage goals Admin or Power User
          1. Navigate to the Analyze & Act tab.
          2. Expand Goals and then expand Goals List.
          3. Click Add New.
          4. In the General section:
            1. Name your Goal - This name is used as the name of the goal in the Goals List and the Scorecards subtabs.
            2. Select the measurement you want to target in your goal.
            3. Set the measurement type — Determine if your measurement is summable or non-summable. Non-summable measurements usually relate to percentage measurements. The measurement type affects how the goal is calculated.
            4. Determine how the goal’s success is measured:
At Least The goal is a success if the measurement is at least the given value or higher than the goal’s value. For example, when tracking CTR, set the lowest value that is considered successful as the baseline and any value higher than the baseline will be displayed as a success.
Exactly The goal is a success if the measurement matches the exact value set for the goal. This goal type is suitable for measurements that calculate a budget.
At Most The goal is a success if the measurement is lower than the goal’s set value. This goal type is suitable for measurements like CPA.
            5. Set the goal’s time period, and the days to include. When tracking a campaign, you might want to set the goal’s date range to match the campaign’s start and end dates.
            6. If you want to make the time period more granular, you can apply a target value to the time period. For example, if you select Quarter, the goal monitors the results for every quarter in comparison to the set target value.
            7. Select a dimension for the goal to be affiliated with. For example, if you select Campaign Name, the goal monitors each campaign name in comparison to the target value. When selecting a dimension, you can set a Dimension Hierarchy that allows you to drill down your view when visualizing goals.
              Note
Note The target value applies only to the selected dimension and not to its lower hierarchies.
            8. Define the goal’s granularity. For example, if your goal is monitoring five campaigns, you can apply a different value to each campaign, or you can apply a single goal value for all the entities. If you choose to apply multiple values, the Values section is populated with the relevant values.
              Note
Note When choosing either a Period Granularity or a Dimension, the field you choose has to contain data relevant to the date range of the goal. If there’s no data included, the Values section can’t be populated.
            9. Set the ranges for the success rate of the goal.
            10. Select whether to set the goal’s value manually or automatically. The Automatic option is typically used for checking ongoing values against your initial planning, for example, comparing impressions to booked impressions. If you select Automatic, select the fill measurement from the dropdown.
            11. If you didn’t configure the period granularity, you can use prediction sampling to pace your goal by defining the number of days being measured. Prediction sampling affects only the Average Daily Value, Predicted, and Goal Delivery Rate fields.
            12. Select the rate calculation:
Target Until Today Compares the number of impressions reached so far at the given pace to your desired goal and provides a percentage of the success rate on the dashboard.
Entire Goal Calculates your goal’s success rate by comparing the current status to your ultimate target or the point you would be at currently within the goal’s date range. For example, a goal set to reach 3,000 impressions within 30 days would ideally reach at least 100 impressions per day to be successful.
            13. If you want your goal to Run After a specific data stream is processed, select the data stream from the dropdown.
