Data Stream Types in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
Marketing Cloud Intelligence includes different data stream types to map your data. A data stream type defines which Marketing Cloud Intelligence fields are available for mapping based on your data source. For example, if your data source contains campaign, placement, and ad ID fields, Marketing Cloud Intelligence recognizes this as ads data and offers the Ads data stream type when mapping.
- Classification Data Stream Type
Classification data streams are used to apply a classification logic that exists in a secondary data source to your primary data. - Competitive Data Stream Type
The competitive data stream type is suitable for datasets coming from public APIs and competitive analysis tools. This data stream type is designed to fit multiple content worlds, all under the competitive data category. It includes vendor-specific measurements like Facebook page and Twitter likes and generic measurements suitable for multiple cases, such as lifetime likes. - CRM Data Stream Types
CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management. There are two data stream types for uploading CRM data. One type for uploading leads data called CRM Leads, and one for opportunities data called CRM. The CRM data stream type is equipped with slowly changing type 2 dimensions such as lead stage, lead status, and lead modified date. - Data Stream Jobs Data Stream Type
The data stream jobs data stream type allows you to view statistics and information relevant to the execution of your data streams. The data included in this data stream type is the same as the data displayed in the data stream's log. - Ecommerce Data Stream Type
The ecommerce data stream type ingests different data types from ecommerce platforms. It provides levels of data for product catalogs, placed orders, number of purchased items within each order, and more. - Generic Data Stream Type in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
The generic data stream type ingests data that doesn’t comply with any of the existing Marketing Cloud Intelligence data models. All entities in a generic data stream type are in a many-to-many relationship. It offers 50 custom attributes for each entity and 100 custom measurements. The generic data stream type is flexible and caters to a wide range of data types. - Messaging Data Stream Type in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
The messaging data stream type ingests email, mobile phone, and journey data. A message can be in the form of an email, text message, or app notification. It’s typically associated with measurements such as how many people received, opened, or clicked a message. This data stream type can be used to ingest data from platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, and Adobe.
