Create a Bing Ads Data Stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence

Create a Bing Ads Data Stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence

To track and view your Pay-Per-Click advertising on Bing and Yahoo!, create a Bing Ads data stream. The sliding window for the Bing Ads API connector is 3.

          Required Editions

          User Permissions Needed
To create an API data stream: Admin

To create a Bing Ads API data stream, you need a valid Bing username and password.

          1. On the Connect and Mix tab, expand Data Streams.
          2. Click Add New.
          3. Select the Bing Ads connector.
          4. In the General section, enter your credentials and select the profile that you want to pull data for.
          5. To add a data source authentication, click Add New and enter your credentials.
          6. Set the time period for the initial data fetch. You can process data for up to the past 180 days.
          7. In the Extended Properties section, you can set these properties:
            1. To add breakdowns for increased granularity, from the Location Breakdown dropdown, select the breakdown. You can select only one type of location breakdown for each Bing Ads API data stream. Each selection pulls the previous listed dataset. For example, if you select Region, the data stream retrieves Country and Region, and if you select DMA/Metro, the data stream retrieves Country, Region, and DMA/Metro. If you select a location breakdown, Ad and Keyword data isn’t pulled.
            2. To retrieve keyword data, select Get Keyword Level Data. These fields are added and mapped to the Search Keywords data stream type:
              Search Keyword Quality Score
              Search Keyword Match Type
              Search Keyword Key
              Search Keyword
            3. To retrieve conversion data select Get Conversions Data. These fields are added and mapped to the Conversion Tag data stream type:
              Total Conversions
              Revenue
              Post Click Revenue
              Post Click Conversions
              Conversion Tag Name
If you select Get Keyword Level Data and Get Conversion Data, a report with conversion tag and keywords data are retrieved by default. The report is mapped to the conversion tag with keywords data stream type.
            4. To retrieve conversion data, select Get Impression Share Metrics. These fields are added when selecting Get Keyword Level Data and are mapped to the Search Keyword data stream type:
              Search Lost IS (rank)
              Search Lost IS (budget)
              Search Impression Share
            5. To add data from Performance Max for Bing Ads, select Get Performance Max Campaigns Data.
This option adds the Campaign Type dimension, which isn’t mapped. Performance Max data is added only in the Ads & the Conversion tag data stream type. Audience breakdown isn’t available when Performance Max is selected.
          8. To change the mapping, click Mapping. To access the mapping at any stage, from the Create New Stream page, click Map to Model.
          9. To define advanced settings, click Advanced Settings.
          10. Click Create.
          11. Check your data:
            1. Create a report in Bing Ads for the selected date range.
            2. Process the relevant data stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence for the same date range.
            3. Create an identical report or pivot table in Marketing Cloud Intelligence with the same date range, dimensions, and measurements.
            4. Compare and make sure that the measurement totals are aligned.
