CallRail API Connector
CallRail is a call tracking platform.
- Data Lag: 1 Day
Prerequisites
API Key - Contact your CallRail representative to receive an API key.
Details
- Validating your data can be done in two ways:
- In CallRail go to Activity > Calls > Call Log and view the data in a day granularity.
- In CallRail go to Reports > Acquisition > Calls by landing page then define your date range.
- All fields retrieved are unmapped by default. After you save the data stream you’ll be directed to the mapping screen. Map according to usage, for example - the connector retrieves UTM fields, however, if these don't match your use case then there's no need to map them.
- The data stream type you choose should correspond to the result you wish to achieve. If you wish to analyze your calls data alone, map the data to the Generic data stream type. If you wish to view the data along side your Paid Search data you can either map it to the Generic Data Stream type and use Data Fusion to match it with the Paid Search data, or you can use the Conversions Data Stream type and map the data using Custom Measurements.
- The Date in CallRail data streams is the call date.
- There are two call measurements - 'Total Calls' and 'Calls'.
- Total Calls - Displays all the calls made from a number in a LIFETIME format. To view this measurement it’s best to either map it as a Dimension (with 'Update Entities Attributes' enabled) or map it as a Measurement and display it for a specific day and a specific number. This Measurement shouldn’t be viewed aggregated.
- Calls - The basic summable measurement.
Extended Properties
- Get Caller Details - This checkbox is unchecked by default. After it is checked it retrieves personal data.
