Define Reach Data in Facebook Ads Custom API Connector

Define Reach Data in Facebook Ads Custom API Connector

Define how to calculate reach data in the Facebook Ads custom API. Facebook uses user-level data to calculate reach. When a date or field is adjusted in Facebook, the granularity changes, and Facebook recalculates the reach value based on the new parameters. Processing historical reach data streams requires unique date ranges for each process. Set a unique reach value for each day based on the granularity. Every date must be processed separately to return the aggregated value for that date.

          Required Editions

          User Permissions Needed
To create and edit an API data stream: Admin
          1. On the Connect & Mix tab, expand Data Streams.
          2. Click Add New.
          3. Select the Facebook Ads Custom connector.
          4. Under Extended Properties:
            1. Set Date Resolution to Aggregated.
            2. For the level of granularity that you want to report on, select Dimensions.
            3. Don’t edit Measurements. Reach measurements are automatically populated.
            4. Select the breakdowns that you want to include in the report, for example, Age and Gender.
          5. Under the Advanced section:
            1. In the Data Refresh window, click the edit icon and set the frequency.
            2. Set the maximum number of days a single processing statistic can span. For example, for a 30-day retrieval and a 10-day span, a total of three statistics are created.
            3. Set the sliding window —the number of days back that data is retrieved on a scheduled run starting yesterday.
