Create a Google Analytics Custom Data Stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
To create and manage Google Analytics custom reports, create a Google Analytics custom data stream.

To create a Google Ads API data stream, you need:
- A valid Google account
- Access to at least one Google Analytics profile
- On the Connect & Mix tab, expand Data Streams.
- Click Add New.
- Select the Google Analytics Custom connector.
- In the General section, select the account that you want to pull data for. To retrieve GA4 properties, in the Website dropdown, select the GA4 property.
- To add a data source authentication, click Add New and enter your Google Analytics Custom credentials.
- Set the time period for the initial data fetch. You can process data up to the past 180 days.

In the Extended Properties section, you can set these
properties:
- Select the data stream type.

For the Dimensions and Measurements fields, enter the Google
Analytics fields that you want to retrieve. Separate the field names with a comma, and match
the syntax specified in the GA API Explorer on the Demos
& Tools tab.
You can retrieve up to seven dimensions and nine measurements per data stream connection.
You must be able to query the dimensions and measurements that you’re retrieving together. To confirm that you can query them together, go to the GA API Explorer. Select the dimensions and measurements that you want to retrieve one at a time. If you can select all of them, they can be queried together.
- To get non-sampled data, select Get Non-Sampled Data.
- To change the mapping, click Mapping. Otherwise, you can always access mapping by selecting Map to Model at the bottom of the Create New Stream page.
- To define advanced settings, at the bottom of the screen, select Advanced Settings.
- Click Create.

Quality check your data:
- Create a report in the Google Ads platform for the required date.
- Process the relevant data stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence filtered to the same date range.
- Create an identical report or pivot table in Marketing Cloud Intelligence with the same date range, dimensions, and measurements.
- Compare the measurement totals to make sure that they’re aligned.
