Create an Instagram by Facebook Data Stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
To create and manage Instagram reports, create an Instagram by Facebook data stream.

To create an Instagram by Facebook data stream you need a valid Facebook username and password and Instagram and Facebook accounts linked to each other.
- On the Connect and Mix tab, expand Data Streams.
- Click Add New.
- Select the Instagram by Facebook connector.

In the General section, select the account that you want to pull
data for.
Note Only Instagram business accounts are supported, personal accounts can't be used. - To add a new data source authentication, click Add New, and enter your Instagram credentials.

In the Extended Properties set these properties.
- To pull data for a specific page, enter the page ID.

To retrieve social interaction metrics for Instagram Stories select Get
Stories Insights. This checkbox adds story data to your Instagram by Facebook
data stream. You may need to re-authenticate your Instagram credentials to see the
stories.
The API only reports organic interaction metrics—interactions on ads containing a media object are not counted.
Data becomes available only after you check the checkbox. Historical story data is not available.
Insight stories are collected by webhook notifications. Story data is sent to your data stream after the story expires. It may take up to 48 hours from the first set up until you see story insights in your stream.
- If you must change the mapping, click Mapping. You can always access mapping by selecting Map to Model at the bottom of the Create New Stream page.
- To define advanced settings, at the bottom of the screen, select Advanced Settings.
- Click Create.

Quality check your data.
- Create a report in Facebook for the required date.
- Process the relevant data stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence, filtered to the same date range.
- Create an identical report or pivot table in Marketing Cloud Intelligence with the same date range, dimensions, and measurements.
- Compare and make sure that the measurement totals are aligned.
