          Data 360 CI Connector

          Data 360 CI Connector

Data 360 allows you to unify all your data - from anywhere - for a complete view of your customers. The Data 360 API connector allows you to pull either your calculated insights from Data 360 or use Marketing Cloud Intelligence predefined insights in order to get advanced insights with a click of a button.

          Note
Note A new version of the Data 360 connector was released. This version may appear if you previously connected to Data 360 either via the connector or the app. If you connected via the connector, you will still see the connector in the Connect & Mix tab. It’s advised you use the new version to avoid discrepancies.

          Details

The connector pulls data from Data 360 in two forms:

          • Calculated Insights (CI) - After you enter your credentials, the “Source” dropdown populates with all your calculated insights from Data 360. Select the calculated insights you wish to pull into Marketing Cloud Intelligence. The data stream automatically builds the CI schema and pulls all of the CI’s data into Intelligence.
          • Predefined Insights- Automatically create interesting views on top of your data, for the following 3 predefined insights:
            • Demographics - The demographics predefined insight provides information on your audience by different attributes.
              • Fields - Day, Age Group, Children Count, Yearly Income Range, Country, City, Count of Individuals, and Count of Unified Individuals.
            • Engagement - The engagement predefined insight pulls different KPIs of your engagement data model objects, like Email, Device Application and Message.
              • Fields - Day, Channel, Campaign, Total Engagements (broken by engagement type), and Total Engaging Customers (broken by engagement type).
            • Conversion - The conversion predefined insight presents aggregated information on orders made.
              • Fields - Day, Product, Product Category, Total Number of Orders, Total Revenue, and Number of customers.

          General Setup

          1. After entering your credentials, the Source dropdown is populated with the predefined insights and calculated insights.
          2. Select the CI/Predefined insight you’d like to create the data stream with. There can be a delay of up to a few hours from the time calculated insights are created in the Customer Data Platform until the data becomes available in Marketing Cloud Intelligence.
          3. In the Initial Data Fetch section, select the dates for which you want to pull data. You can only process from the last 180 days. If you must process older data then contact Marketing Cloud Intelligence Support.
            • If you select a Demographics Predefined Insight or a Calculated Insight, Intelligence automatically pulls all available data, regardless of the selected date range.
            • If you choose Engagement/Conversion Predefined Insights, Intelligence pulls data according to the selected date range.

          Notes

          • Not available in Government Cloud. See Data 360 edition availability
          • The Data Cloud API Connector allows you to view the data in your Calculated Insights and include data in your Intelligence dashboards and reports. You can’t map the data retrieved from Data 360 to your Intelligence data model.
          • To ensure that deleted Data 360 records are also deleted from Marketing Cloud Intelligence, make sure that your data stream load mode is set to Total Replace. This setting ensures the replacement of all data coming from Data 360 on a daily basis. If you choose to set your data stream load to a different mode, deletions aren't automatically passed across apps, and you must manually delete any data that you would like deleted from Intelligence using the Delete Data functionality in Intelligence.
          • Predefined Insights are complicated queries that scan large amounts of data. In case the data stream process fails due to a timeout, you can create a similar calculated insight, which will do the processing in advance, and pull the CI into Intelligence via the connector.

          QA Your Data

Use the Data Explorer in Data 360 to compare the data in your calculated insights and the data pulled into Marketing Cloud Intelligence.
