          MOZ API Connector

          MOZ API Connector

MOZ API is a Search Engine Optimization tool, which among other things, provides different competitive views. By using our API, you’re able to select Domains, and retrieve a variety of Measurements related to them.

          • Channel: SEO / Competitive

          Prerequisites

Client ID and Key – Contact a Moz representative to obtain these credentials.

          Details

The data that is retrieved through the API matches the view that is available under the ‘Links’ tab, which can be found in the Campaigns Dashboard section in Moz Pro’s UI

Information on the provided Measurements can be found here.

Two Measurements that should be addressed differently are ‘MozRank’ and ‘MozTrust’, of type Rank. These Measurements aren’t easily aggregated, and we recommend mapping them either as Measurements with an Average aggregation type, or as a Dimension. There are 3 AVG type metrics named “Rank #” within the Competitive Data Stream Type designated for that purpose.

          General Setup

After you’ve logged in with your credentials, you can now select the Brand ID for which you’re pulling data.

          Extended Properties

          • Data Stream Type – Select your Data Stream Type. Use either Competitive or Web Analytics, depending on your Moz use-case.
          • Domains – Select the Domains that you would like to track.

          Known Issues

The data provided from Moz is aggregated by Lifetime, and thus are always be assigned to ‘Today’. There are 2 levels of access – Free and Paid. Each one of them enables to different data-sets (Dimensions and Measurements).
