          The Trade Desk (My Reports) API Connector

          A Demand-Side Platform (DSP) that allows ad buyer teams to manage data-driven digital advertising campaigns across various advertising formats, including display, video, and social, on a multitude of devices.

          Prerequisites

          To connect to The TradeDesk My Reports API, you need a valid username, password and Partner ID, that has access to the My Reports reporting system. To enable API for your user, contact your The TradeDesk representative and request API access for your Partner and 3rd party API access to My Reports.

          General Setup

          After entering your credentials, select the Partner and Advertisers you want to retrieve data for. Leave the Advertisers field empty if you want to pull data for all advertisers.

          Extended Properties

          • Location Breakdown- Select one of the available options to add further breakdowns to the data retrieved by the API, resulting in a higher level of granularity on which the Measurements can be sliced. The following Breakdowns are available when pulling data from the TradeDesk My Reports API, in addition to the standard data being pulled:
            • Country - Select this to pull country data and add the Dimension ‘Country’ to the dataset.
            • Region - Select this to pull Regional data and add the Dimension ‘Region’ to the dataset.
            • Metro - Select this to pull Metro data and add the Dimension ‘Metro’ to the dataset.
            • City - Select this to pull City data and add the Dimension ‘City’ to the dataset.

            • You can only select one type of Location Breakdown in any given TradeDesk My Reports API Data Stream; however, each consecutive selection will pull the previously listed dataset. For example, if you select Region the Data Stream will retrieve both Country and Region, if you select Metro, the Data Stream will retrieve Country, Region, and Metro, etc.
            • After a Location Breakdown is selected, Creative Data and Frequency are not pulled.
          • Get Conversions Data- Select this checkbox to retrieve conversion data. The following fields will be added and mapped to the Conversion Tag Data Stream Type:
            • Total Conversions Revenue
            • Post Impression Revenue
            • Post Impression Conversions
            • Post Click Revenue
            • Post Click Conversions
            • Conversion Tag Name

          How to QA Your Data

          • Create the desired report in the Trade Desk My Reports platform for the required date range:
            • In the Trade Desk platform, go to REPORTS > My Reports
            • Select Basic Performance Stats. If you breakdown the data by location, select Geo Insights. These are found in the Standard Report Templates.
          • Next, process the relevant Data Stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence for the same date range.
          • Create a Report/Table Widget/Pivot Table within Intelligence containing the exact same Dimensions and Measurements for the same report and date range.
          • Compare the data in Marketing Cloud Intelligence to the Basic Performance Stats. If you selected a Location Breakdown, compare the data in Intelligence to the Geo Insights reports.
