          Yandex API Connector

          The report retrieved from Yandex is the "Statistics for all Campaigns" report. The report includes data at the campaign level only.

          • Channel: Search
          • Data Stream Type: Search Keywords
          • Data Lagging: 1 day

          Prerequisites

          • User and Password with API permissions. When connecting to Yandex using an API, you’ll be asked to approve the terms of service. If the connection is still not available, contact your Yandex representative.
          • You must have at least one advertising campaign in your Yandex account.
          • Yandex is available for the professional web interface only. You can upgrade from the Light Interface here.

          Details

          • If a currency isn’t set in the Yandex account, the data won’t be converted in Marketing Cloud Intelligence. The values will be the same as in the Yandex platform.
          • The Total values are different for the Ad level and the Search Keyword level. This is the desired behavior and is the case both in the Yandex platform and the Marketing Cloud Intelligence platform.
          • Every API user has points that enable it to perform API actions, like pulling reports. The points spent on pulling a report are determined by the amount of data included in the report.
          • In the Yandex API, when retrieving the basic report on the campaign level only, the API delivers 2 types of measurements for Clicks, Impressions, and Cost:
            • A Search Measurement
            • A Context Measurement
          • In the Yandex platform, as well as in Marketing Cloud Intelligence, the Measurement values are a sum of both types of measurements. However, if you require special settings, these Measurements are available as unmapped in the mapping screen of the data stream.

          General Setup

          • After you’ve logged in with your Yandex credentials you can now select the Agency and/or Advertiser you’re pulling data for.
          • If you’re an Agency client, you can select an Agency and the Advertisers you wish to retrieve data for.
          • If you're an Advertiser client, your Advertiser appears in both the Agency and Advertiser dropdown lists.

          Extended Properties

          • Get Granular Data - This retrieves reports at the Media Buy level, and includes Search and Conversions data. To create an identical view in the Yandex platform, choose a specific campaign to drill down, then choose 'View Statistics'. For Search Measurements navigate to 'Search Queries', for Delivery Measurements navigate to 'Report Wizard'. Create a report similar to the view in Marketing Cloud Intelligence.

          How to QA Your Data

          • Create the desired report in the Yandex UI for the required date range.
          • Next, process the relevant Data Stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence for the same date range.
          • Create a Report/Table Widget/Pivot Table within Marketing Cloud Intelligence containing the exact same Dimensions and Measurements for the same report and date range.
          • Compare the Measurement Totals and make sure they’re aligned.
