          Transformation Rules

          Transformation Rules

Use transformation rules to set values to a specified attribute, based on a set of defined criteria. The rules can be set at the level of the entity key or name. Transformation rules are most effective when the entity key or name has a consistent naming convention.

          Note
Note This feature is a legacy feature and is only available if you’ve used it in the past. It’s highly recommended you use the Harmonization Center instead.

For more information, see Harmonize Data with the Harmonization Center.

          • Create Transformation Rules
Create a transformation rule to set a value of a specific attribute, for example whenever the Campaign Key is set to 1234, the Campaign Type is set to Search.
          • Set a Rules Method for Transformation Rules
Rules run according to the Rules Method, which determines the type of the data the rules apply to. By default, the platform uses the Run Rules on New Data Only method, running rules on all the data uploaded to the workspace after the rule is created. The Rules Method affects all the workspace's transformation rules.
