Single Sign-On (SSO) in Marketing Cloud Intelligence
If you’re the administrator of a Marketing Cloud Intelligence account, you can grant team members access by signing into a central identity provider. SSO) makes access easier and more secure for everyone. You can put the identity provider that you already trust in charge of authentication, while team members can access Marketing Cloud Intelligence without another password to manage.
When you set up SSO as the default setting, your identity provider authenticates end users. When a user wants to access Marketing Cloud Intelligence, all processes, policies, and security features that were set up with your identity provider are applied. Security features that Marketing Cloud Intelligence provides, such as two-step verification or the ability to reset passwords, are no longer in effect because your identity provider handles all aspects of authentication.
After SSO is turned on, users can log in to the Marketing Cloud Intelligence platform in two ways.
| Idp initiated login | Using your identity provider portal (SSO vendor) by clicking the Marketing Cloud Intelligence app. |
| SP initiated login | Using the Users Direct Login page, which enables you to go directly to your Marketing Cloud Intelligence account online if you’re logged in to your identity provider. You could be redirected to the Idp login page. You can find this URL on the Single Sign-On Account Setting page under User Direct Login URL. |
