          Set Up the Customer Insights for Marketing Cloud Customer Data Platform App

          The Customer Insights for Marketing Cloud Customer Data Platform app unifies your data and provides Data 360 insights. To set up the app, connect Data 360 data and select required insights.

          To install Customer Insights for Data 360, you need:

          • A Data 360 username and password
          1. Install the Customer Insights for Marketing Cloud Customer Data Platform app.
            1. In Marketing Cloud Intelligence, on the Marketplace tab, select Apps.
            2. Select the app, and click Get it Now.
          2. Select your Data 360 account from the dropdown. If you don’t have an authenticated account, click Authenticate another account and enter your Data 360 username and password.
            Note
            Note If you encounter issues when authenticating, you could be logged in to another Salesforce account. Log out of all Salesforce accounts, refresh the token, and then try again. If you’re still encountering issues, contact your Marketing Cloud Intelligence representative.
          3. Click Next.
          4. In the Predefined Insights section, select the insights that you want to pull.
          5. To get more information about the insights, click a tile.
            1. The left side shows the type of data that the insights include.
            2. The right side shows which CIM (Cloud Information Model) objects that the insight assumes are populated based on your mapping within Data 360. The objects that are populated appear in green. The ones that aren’t populated are gray.
              Note
              Note If your workspace doesn’t include the required data model objects, the insight is gray and can’t be selected. Click the insight to see which objects aren’t populated correctly in Data 360. To enable the predefined insight, make sure these objects are mapped in Data 360.
            3. To select individual attributes to add to the dataset and filter the data on, select an attribute from the Select Attributes dropdown.
          6. In the Calculated Insights section, select the calculated insights that you want to pull from Data 360. Calculated insights are defined by the user in Data 360. They aren’t required to generate the predefined insights, however you can ingest them into Marketing Cloud Intelligence to harmonize the data with other datasets or to visualize them.
          7. Complete the installation.

          Installing the Customer Insights for Marketing Cloud Customer Data Platform app creates a number of underlying entities:

          • Data Streams – A LiteConnect data stream is created for each calculated insight that you select during the installation.
          • Collection – A collection is created for each instance of the app.
          • Dashboards – A dashboard is created for each insight type you selected.
