Create a Switch Currency Widget
A switch currency widget is a type of interactive filter widget available in the widget library. With this widget you can switch the currency for all currency-metrics on the page.

- Navigate to Visualize.
- Select the dashboard, and then select the page you want to add a widget to.
- To edit the selected page, click the pencil icon.
- To add a new widget, click the + icon.
- Scroll down to the Interactive section and click Switch Currency.
A new switch currency widget is added to your page from which you can preview any change that is made to the widget. These options are available in the Data tab:
- Source Currency — The default source currency is the currency setup in your workspace.
- Target Currencies — These are the currencies you want to switch to. The default target currency is the source currency. You can remove it once other currencies are added.
- Set Default Values — Define the default currency used each time the page loads.
- Apply to Specific Widgets — Apply the switch currency widget selections to specific widgets on the page. If no widgets are selected, then the switch currency widget is applied to all the widgets on the page.
- Retain User Selection — This checkbox is selected by default. It automatically saves the switch currency widget settings that are applied per user to a page or dashboard. Then, when switching between dashboards or pages, the same settings appear. If you don’t want to save the switch widget selections per user, clear this checkbox.
Note Currency conversions only apply to mapped currency type measurements. Therefore, for
the conversion to work on calculated measurements, they must contain mapped currency type
measurements.
After you finish configuring the Data tab, configure the Design tab. These options are available:
- List Display — If you selected List as the filtering display, select
how to display the list:
- Vertical — Lists the filter selections on individual rows.
- Horizontal — Lists the filter selections one after the other, on the same row.
- Show Search Box — Select to insert a search box into the widget so that you can search for specific currencies to filter by.
You can further tailor the appearance of the switch currency widgets on your page with the options available in the design tab.
