Audience Builder Attribute Library
Use the Attribute Library in Audience Builder to drag subscriber criteria onto the canvas as you filter or segment your audience. The Attribute Library displays raw subscriber data as readable attribute labels. The data that appears in the Attribute Library depends on the Data Packages in your Marketing Cloud Engagement org.
Depending on your data configuration, attributes appear in two panes or in a drill tree format. Click through to select filter and segment attributes.
Drill Tree Searching
Use advanced drill searching to search for a specific term across your entire data package library. These searches require at least three characters and return results alphabetically by value, then path. For example, a search for shirts can return Shirts, biking; Shirts, hiking. Hover over the results to see the full path. Click the path to view the data package in the drill tree.
Data Packages
- Raw Attributes—This data package doesn’t display distinct values in the drill tree. You need to know the possible values contained within Raw Attributes. For example, to select all females using the Gender Raw Attribute, you must know that the values include F, Female, or Mujer.
- Raw Dimensions—This data package displays distinct values in the drill tree along with the count of contacts in the data for each value.
- Banded—This data package displays ranges with a defined start and end value. For example, Age can display 18-25 and 26-35.
- Bucketed—This data package displays various ranges with a standard start value and various end values. For example, Last open can display yesterday; last 7 days; last 14 days;.
- Aggregated—This data package adds data into an aggregated form. For example, this data package can display the number of published messages in a certain number of days.
- Custom Criteria Selectors or Gears—This data package uses values such as Equals, Greater than, Less than, and Range to create custom data displays. The two-pane view uses custom criteria selectors to query against raw data. Not all data packages use custom criteria selectors. Marketing Cloud Engagement enables this feature per data package set and associates these selectors with data, numeric, or text data types.
If you see a count of zero next to an attribute, no subscribers in your audience match the parameters for the attribute. Ensure that the source data extension includes the necessary data and that the audience refreshes ran for the specified day.
