Automation Studio Statuses
You can view an automation’s status from the Automation Studio interface or a related data view. Use this guide to understand what each status means.
| Automation Status | Meaning | Suggested Action |
|---|---|---|
| Error | An error occurred when the automation ran. | View and address the error, if needed. |
| BuildingError | The automation was saved with an invalid configuration. | View the automation and resolve any configuration errors. |
| Building | The automation is being edited and can’t run. | The user who is editing the automation must save their changes. |
| Ready | The automation is ready to run. | — |
| Running | The automation is running. | — |
| Paused | The automation was manually paused and won’t run again until it’s reactivated. | Reactivate the automation. |
| Stopped | The automation was stopped during its most recent run. | View and address the warnings in the automation log, if needed. |
| Scheduled | The automation is scheduled to run in the future. | — |
| AwaitingTrigger | The automation is waiting for a file drop or trigger to start. | — |
| InactiveTrigger | The automation has a file drop or trigger and won’t run again until it’s reactivated. | Reactivate the automation. |
| Skipped | The automation was skipped. | Rerun the automation if needed. Otherwise, it runs the next time it’s scheduled. |
| Initialized | The automation is about to run. | — |
