            Create an SMS Send Logging Data Extension

            Follow these steps to create an SMS send logging data extension in Contact Builder.

            1. Click Data Extensions.
            2. Click Create.
            3. Choose the Create From Template option in the dropdown menu.
            4. Choose SmsSendLog and click Done.
            5. Click Select.
            6. Enter the name, external key, and description for this data extension.
            7. Leave the checkbox next to Is Sendable? unchecked.
            8. Click Next.
            9. Enter any applicable data retention policy information and click Next.
            10. Create fields for list attributes or data extension fields to record in the send logging data extension. By default, the application adds these fields.
              • SMSJobID
              • SMSTriggeredSendID
              • BatchID
              • SubID
            11. Click Complete.
