Sort and View All Contacts in Contact Builder

Sort and View All Contacts in Contact Builder

Follow these steps to sort and view contacts in Contact Builder.

          1. Choose the contacts to view.
            • All Contacts—all contacts within your account
            • Populations—any contacts assigned to a population in Contact Builder
            • Last Modified—any contacts with information changed within the specified time period
            • Source—any contacts with information that entered your account via the specified method
            • Channel—any contacts associated with channels available within your account
            • Type—reflects the contact source—the default user-entered Type is (0). If a user is created through an integration such as triggered sends, Salesforce integrations, or Microsoft Dynamics CRM integrations, the Type reflects the integration and is numbered between (1) and (9) in the Type field.
            Note
Note The All Contacts link on the left navigation bar isn’t available by default for users that belong to a child business unit in the enterprise structure. For any child business unit where the settings are changed, no business unit-level filtering is applied when All Contacts view is selected.
          2. To find specific contacts or use the search field to search for a specific contact key value, sort through the available columns. The contact key represents the unique identifier for that contact.
          3. To view information on that specific contact entry, click a specific contact.
          4. To view information on the interaction of a contact with your messages, click Engagement.
          5. Click the View by Channel dropdown menu and select the channel for the messages to review.
          6. Click the Time Period dropdown menu and select the time period for the messages to review.
          7. To review these messages, click the Type dropdown menu:
            • Inbound & Outbound—both messages sent to and received from the contact
            • Inbound—messages received from the contact
            • Outbound—messages sent to the contact
          8. Review the information under the Activity section:
            • Message—the name and summary of the message
            • Address—the address used to send the message to the contact
            • Status—the list of possible interactions and a check or X icon indicating whether the contact performed the specified interaction
            • Date—the date on which you sent the message to the contact
          9. To view a list of all addresses associated with a contact and the messages or keywords to which that contact subscribes, click Membership.
          10. To change any information regarding the subscription, click Edit for each email address. You can’t change system-generated data.
          11. For email addresses, click Add To A List and select the list to subscribe the contact to, then click Save.
          12. For mobile numbers, click Add Subscription and select the keyword to subscribe the contact, then click Save.
