Use Einstein Content Selection in Your Emails

Use Einstein Content Selection in Your Emails

Add an Einstein Content Selection content block to your messages. At open, Einstein then can select an image for your messages by analyzing the assets that are engaging your customers. Enable Einstein Content Selection in Marketing Cloud Engagement Setup.

Add an asset catalog file before dragging the Einstein Content Selection block into your message so that Einstein can select the image assets to show.

The content block selects an asset that’s personalized for each subscriber from a pool of assets that you upload and then adds the asset to the message. The subscriber list can’t contain a field called memberid. If it does, the block doesn’t function properly.

Assets are selected based on how they perform with your subscribers.

          Note
Note Don’t use the content block in emails that you plan to archive if the content selected by Einstein Content Selection must then be retrieved from the archive. Assets selected when a subscriber opens the email aren’t archived.
          1. Drag Eisntein Content Selection icon into an email message.
          2. Select the asset class that you want Einstein Content Selection to use.
          3. To add a fallback image for an asset class if there’s none, navigate to Einstein Content Selection Settings.
          4. To filter the content that appears for the asset class, click Advanced Settings, and then use the Selection Spotlight feature to select one or more asset attributes and Spotlight values.
Adding multiple asset attributes is like an AND filter. For example, locale = EN-US AND city = New York. Adding multiple asset values is like an OR filter. For example locale = EN-GB or EN-US.
          5. Save the content block.
          6. To view Einstein Content Selection in action, preview your message.
          7. To view the message as it appears to different subscribers, click the right arrow icon.
