          Create Templates

          Create Templates

Use Content Builder to create templates by pasting HTML or using a layout tool.

          1. Click Create.
          2. Hover over Template.
          3. Select a template type. When creating from an existing template, select the template to start creating from and click Select.
          4. Save the template.
          5. Complete required fields.
          6. Add content to the email.
          7. Save the email.
            Note
Note Editing a template doesn't automatically affect emails you used the template to create. Deleting a template doesn't delete emails created using that template.

          • View or Modify a Template
Follow these steps to view or modify a template in Marketing Cloud Engagement Content Builder.
          • Single Source Template Strategy
A Single Source template allows you to create content once and reuse the content for multiple emails, contexts, and audiences. For example, if you’re sending a campaign to multiple countries that have multiple languages, each language requires a separate email which can total 200 emails or more. The number of emails increases when you segment into commercial and transactional or other customer-based profiles. To reduce unnecessary work, create a single source template that never changes, and create new emails based on the template.
