To use the built-in approvals process in Marketing Cloud Engagement, an admin must turn
on the feature for Content Builder. Notify content creators before you enable approvals because
it can disrupt their workflow.
Required Editions
User Permissions Needed
To submit content for approval:
Approval Items—Create and Edit
AND
Workflow
Teams—Add/Remove User
To select audiences for content:
View on Email > Subscribers > List
AND
View on Email > Subscribers >
Data Extension
In Engagement, hover over your username and click Setup.
Under Teams & Workflows, choose an approval workflow and assign a team name.
For Assign a Workflow Role, search for users and select the roles for each person.
Click Apply, and then click Close.
To enable Approvals, click On and confirm the change.
