          Insert and Remove Links

Build and remove links in a Content Builder text block.

          1. Highlight the text you want to format as a hyperlink.
          2. Click Link the insert link button.
          3. From Link To, choose the type of link and complete these fields.
            1. Website - Enter the URL of the web site.
Http:// is inserted in the URL automatically.
            2. Secure Website -If the web site address begins with https://, select this type and enter the URL.
              Note
Note Https:// is inserted in the URL automatically.
            3. Email Address - Enter the full email address and subject line of the email.
              Note
Note The HTML code mailto: inserts automatically.
            4. Forward to a Friend - The system populates the Forward to a Friend code when you choose this value. You can still edit the tool tip and link alias.
            5. Microsite - Select the site and page of an email classic microsite.
            6. CloudPages Microsite - Select the site and page of a CloudPages microsite.
            7. CloudPages Landing Page - Select the CloudPages landing page.
            8. Browse to content stored in your account or upload new content.
              Tip
Tip As a best practice, use document links rather than attaching a document directly to an email. Document links let you track how many subscribers open the document.
            9. Anchor to text - Select the name of the anchor you created in this email.
            10. Other - Enter a value that does not match the other types, such as a personalization string.
              Note
Note For example, if you have an attribute that contains a URL, you can insert the personalization string to use the personalized URL for each subscriber.
          4. To turn on conversion tracking feature, select Conversion Tracking Link.
            Note
Note If your web site has been set up for conversion tracking, you can track the conversion rate for links to your web pages.
          5. Enter descriptive text in Tool Tip.
This text appears when a subscriber hovers over the text or image for which the tool tip is defined.
          6. Enter a descriptive name in Tracking Alias.
If no tracking alias is specified, then what you entered in link URL appears in the tracking results.
          7. To remove a link, click the link text and click unlink.
          8. To update an existing link, right-click the link and click edit.

The selected text is now highlighted as a link.
