Modify Dynamic Content

Use Marketing Cloud Engagement Content Builder to modify a Dynamic Content block.

Note Always upload the content you want to use before you create dynamic content.

Important To edit a dynamic content block used in an email, edit the source content (block or code-snippet) referenced by the dynamic content block's default or rule-based content. Edits to the dynamic content block itself aren't reflected in subsequent updates of the email that uses it. Alternatively, you can use reference block to retrieve the dynamic content block.

1. Select the name of the content in the content grid.
2. Select Editor.
3. Make any changes or additions.
   • To change the default content, click Replace. Select the name of the content to replace the existing content and click Select. Click Add to upload new content.
   • To change a specific rule or content associated with a specific rule, click Edit in the rule area row. Make any changes or additions and click Save.
   

   Note Edits to content blocks that use dynamic content don't affect saved and stored email content that uses dynamic content.
   • To add a rule, click Create Rule #.
   • To delete a specific rule, click Delete for that specific rule. The rules moves up. For example, if you delete rule 2 then rule 3 are come the new rule 2.
   • To duplicate a rule, click Duplicate and change the values where necessary. This duplicates the rule criteria and the content selection.
4. Click Save.
