            Share Content

            The share content feature allows you to share content, templates, and emails with other business units in your account. Enterprise 2.0 accounts, you can share from any business unit to any other business unit. For Enterprise 1.0 and Agency accounts you can share down to child business units. Contact your relationship manager to enable this feature.

            You can create shared folders and share content with Content Builder editing permissions to control how recipient business units can interact with their content. Users with Share permissions can share content or folders to other business units that they have login rights to. Users can share to business units up, down, or across the hierarchy using the Selected Business Units option.

            Share across Enterprise

            You can share a folder and its contents to one or more business units in your account. When this feature is enabled, access the Shared tab on the main content grid. Any content placed in the root Shared Content folder is automatically shared to all existing and future business unit in your account. To enable the Across Enterprise option, the Administrator enables the setting in the Content Builder Setup page. Do not enable this option for enterprises containing multiple companies.             Share to Selected Business Units

            You can share to specific business units that have log-in access to. You can select a maximum of 2,000 business units. To share to more than 2,000 business units, share Across Enterprise, or Duplicate the content and share the duplicates to separate groups. You can search for business units by name when making selections.

            Note Note: Sharing to selected business units does not share content to business units created after the content was first shared.

            • Shared Content Edit Permissions
              While Marketing Cloud Engagement Content Builder business units that create content can take all actions on content, business units that receive shared content can only take these actions based on their edit permissions. Review the different Content Builder edit permissions.
            • Lock Shared Content
              Email content areas in Content Builder can now be locked before sharing the email with other business units. This allows recipient business units to only edit unlocked content areas in shared emails with Edit Globally or Edit Locally permissions.
            • Sharing and Approvals
              If you have Content Builder Approvals enabled, use these guidelines when sharing emails.
