Prerequisites

• Marketing Cloud Engagement with Content Builder
• Media library write privileges in Sitecore

The Sitecore Connect for Marketing Cloud Engagement enables a real-time sync of images created and updated in Sitecore to Content Builder. Sitecore images are uploaded and maintained in Sitecore, and the connector syncs the images to a top-level Sitecore folder in Content Builder. Sitecore images in Content Builder are read-only and can be used across all Marketing Cloud Engagement channels.

• You can use Sitecore images in content blocks, templates, and emails.
• Sitecore content can be shared with and used by other business units.
• Sitecore images are searchable in the Content Builder library.
• The Sitecore content in Marketing Cloud Engagement is updated when either a ready only image is updated or new images are pushed via the sitecore connector.
• Images updated in Sitecore overwrite the images in Content Builder.
• Only users with the Third-Party Content Administrator Access permission can delete Sitecore images in Marketing Cloud Engagement.

Setup and Administrative User Requirements

Only an administrative user with these privileges can configure the connector for a Sitecore account:

• Module installation privileges in Sitecore
• Configuration file write access
