          Disconnect Account

          Disconnect Account

The ability to disconnect a Marketing Cloud Engagement account from a Sales or Service Cloud account is only available for Enterprise 2.0, Core, and Lock & Publish accounts. Install managed package version 5.493 or later. The account must use connected app authentication. The Engagement admin can disconnect the accounts by editing the Salesforce Integration in the Email Studio admin. Disconnecting takes from 5 minutes to several hours depending on the number of synchronized data extensions. The Sales or Service Cloud admin then uninstalls the package.

          Note
Note There’s a known issue with Google Chrome. If you cancel after clicking Disconnect Account and try disconnecting again, the process fails.

          Disconnecting does the following:

          • Removes the connection between your Engagement account and the Sales or Service Cloud org.
          • Removes the Salesforce system user’s credentials and resets the connection at the account level.
          • Removes user mappings in the disconnected business unit and synchronized data extensions.
          • Cancels tracking subscriptions. Any tracking for previous sends isn’t pushed to the previous Sales or Service Cloud org. Tracking isn’t affected in Engagement.
          Important
Important Background processes and activities, such as active triggered sends, continue functioning until you inactivate them.

If needed for a new connection, remap all disconnected business units, orgs, and users, and reconfigure synchronized data extensions.

If a new connection is made, tracking for previous sends isn’t pushed to the new org.
