Integrate Google Analytics with Marketing Cloud Engagement

Integrate Google Analytics with Marketing Cloud Engagement

Set up the integration between Marketing Cloud Engagement and your Google Analytics account.

Before you start, an admin must enable Journey Builder and the Google Analytics Integration.

For information about how Google uses data about your websites and customers, see Google’s Privacy Policy. Google also provides advice for safeguarding your data.

          1. Link Google Analytics and Marketing Cloud Engagement Accounts
Connect your Marketing Cloud Engagement account to Google Analytics. Google’s native authentication process creates a secure connection between your accounts and sets view permissions for your reports. If you have multiple Engagement instances under the same EID, the Google Analytics accounts that you link are added to those instances also.
          2. Setting Up Parameters
UTM parameters help you measure how clicks from your messages relate to activities on your websites. After you set up these parameters, Marketing Cloud Engagement appends them to the URLs in your messages.
