Configure an Engagement Split
The Journey Builder Engagement Split activity sends contacts down a Yes or No path based on whether they open the email or click a link or if the email bounces.
To use an Engagement Split, enable the tracking feature for your email message. At least one message activity must occur before an Engagement Split. To allow the system time to track engagement for all preceding messages, a wait activity must occur between the last message and the Engagement Split. Add at least a 1-hour wait between the message activity and the Engagement Split to allow enough time for your subscribers to engage with the message.
The term “open” refers to when a subscriber clicks a link in an email. If a subscriber has images disabled in their inbox, opens related to that image aren’t recorded. If the subscriber clicks a link in the same message, it’s counted as an open.
